LoveHandle Design Club was born out of our LOVE for arts and has been manifested into an ongoing collaboration with the art & design community to highlight amazing designers through their creation of custom LoveHandle collections. A portion of proceeds from each collection go directly to support the creating artist.
Chi Hey Lee is a Los Angeles based graphic designer who was born and raised in South Korea. She started her career as a web designer and a Flash animator in 2000. After two years of hard work designing web pages, she felt the need for fresh ideas and education. She came to the United States and studied Graphic Design at ArtCenter College of Design after attending the Fashion Institute Design & Merchandising. Both schools provided her with great knowledge and new perspectives about fashion, graphics, and industrial design, enabling her to be a multidisciplinary designer.
She worked on motion graphic designs for movies and online commercials, brand identity, and packaging designs at various design studios in LA. In 2015, she transitioned into surface pattern design by developing her print collections. Inspired by children’s books, vinyl toys, and beautiful nature, her designs often show a mixture of vibrant colors and playful motifs. Her prints have been used in fashion, home décor, and stationery industries. Chi Hey's designs were applied to various products in major retailers such as Nordstrom, Elle Decor, TJ Maxx, Wayfair and Minted through art licensing.
